HEY YOU!

This is a test sample of a children's book I want to create at some point in my life. I may do some more experimenting by adding textures or styling the background more, but for now I wanted a rough image of what a page could look like.

Muddy Puddles

Vintage Poster/CD cover of a fake band I created called Muddy Puddles and the Gutter Boys. Paper texture provided by Bleeding Dragon: http://bleeding-dragon.deviantart.com/art/10-old-paper-texture-32401994

Panera Bread Buddies. I brought my tablet and Macbook Pro to Panera for the first time to try to catch a moment digitally instead of on paper. I used Livebrush which creates interesting line work. I haven't touched up anything yet, wanted to show the raw image before i touch up line work and colors.

Puppet=Tom Knight

Pictures of a puppet I designed and built for comedian Tom Knight of Second City in Chicago. He has detachable facial hair parts like a beard, mustache, and handle bar mustache.

Here's another background illustration for the same upcoming project.

Same painting without marker lines. I think it actually could be better than the original.

The Great Pogo-Line

I created a quick marker sketch and wanted to color it with water colors in photoshop. I also wanted to practice using a clear light source, i tend to create flat solid colors. I little shadow never hurt anyone.
